UpSearch Authorize is an on-premises, agentless desktop application with a small installation footprint. The digitally signed and antivirus-whitelisted application discovers, verifies, and collects information about Microsoft SQL Server instances and the underlying Windows Operating Systems throughout the environment.
Minimum Resource Requirements
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later
- Processor: Dual-core 1.5 GHz processor or higher
- Architecture: 64-bit
- .NET Framework: Version 4.6.2 or later
- Memory (RAM): 8 GB or higher
- Hard Disk Space: Approximately 316 MB (Application: 60 MB, Results: 256 MB)
- Network Connectivity: Internal network connectivity required
Supported SQL Server and Operating System Versions
These resource requirements support collection from:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or later
- Windows 2000 or later
Both on-premises and cloud-based virtual machines joined to the domain may be discovered and evaluated.
UpSearch Authorize uses:

- Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
to collect SQL Server and Windows operating system information throughout the environment.
